This Saturday we had another meeting of the Car Nuts. In attendance was Don Schafer, Tom Deyle, Len Ball, Jim Boehly, and Donald Goodman.
This is what took place. The Firebird had the headers bolted up (quite a task), the Exhaust temperate bungs on the headers had plugs install (stainless steel expensive plugs!), The data recorder was removed, the ETP were removed, the shifter was removed ( this had to be done as the transmission now in the Firebird has a forward shift pattern), the distributor was installed along with the oil pressure sending unit and low pressure warning. The front clip was removed from the back yard and installed on the car.
The finally was a single elimination Pro tree practice session on the practice tree with a $5.00 pay out to the winner. Who was the winner, you will have to come to the next Car Nuts meeting to find out. There will be a $5.00 pay out to the winner at every car nuts meeting.
Next week we should be able to start the engine.
We called it a day after the meeting and went an played in the basement. Open time trials were held on the practice tree, and then a single elimination contest with a $5.00 payout to the winner was held. Can you guess who the winner was. Come next week to hear the engine run and take part in the second weekly shoot out with the practice tree. This week it was Pro Tree, next week will be a full sportsman tree.
