When I touch up after pressing in ball joints (when someone requests that after the items have been painted) what I use is Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Gloss Black (It is slightly “grayer” then the DuPont but the closest I have found) and while it is still wet, a little Plasti-Kote Classic Lacquer clear on top. Use a Q-Tip, put the black on just heave enough so it does not run but the surface is liquid enough to self level. Wait a short time and do the same with the clear. don’t play with it. It will never look perfect but at lest it will be black.
On the Caliper Bracket use Plasti-Kote Metallic Gold (This gold will be much brighter then the bracket). Then put the Plasti-Kote Classic Lacquer on top, again while it is still wet. For some reason this dulls down the gold.
On the Steering Knuckles use Plasti-Kote Metallic Cast Iron (This cast iron will be much brighter then the bracket). Then put the Plasti-Kote Classic Lacquer on top, again while it is still wet. For some reason this dulls down the Cast Iron.
