I have chosen Keith Burgan Of Roo Man MotorSports to build my dream. As it is a custom chassis we will be adding a torsion suspension to the front end. The idea is to build it to look as Nostalgic looking as possible. It will be build as a Junior fuel dragster. This means it only lacks two bars in the cockpit area to be a Top Fuel Dragster. Leaving those bars out makes it easier to remove the rear axle for maintenance. I will be getting a Full Parachute Body. The chassis will be complete except for the plumbing and wiring and the engine install. That will be left up to the Car Nuts. The chassis is due to go into the jig in December with a 60 to 90 day build. I will be making trips out to Indiana during the build to photograph the progress. There are many reasons why I made this choice. SlingShot Dragsters certainly builds a capable chassis, and their price is definitly cheaper then Roo Man. I felt the increase in price was well worth it for the difference in quality, the custom built chassis, and reputation that Keith has. I had two personal friends that know Keith and they both recommended him highly. | ||
I need the custom built chassis as I do not fit into the one size that SlingShot builds |
