2010 Front Engine Dragster Week 2010 06 15

Made the pilgrimage to Indiana again.  I will most likely head out there again in about two weeks. The rest of this week Roo Man will be preparing for Kentucky, and by the end of next week the chassis should just about be ready to be blow apart for power coat. I have done a walk around to give you a complete view of where the dragster is at. The thinking right now is it should be ready for me to pick up at the end of next month. After pick up there will be about a months worth of work to be done to get it ready to go down a track. Here is hoping. Below is a walk down the right side with out the body panels on

	Not much has changed in this shot. Note the newly licensed NHRA Top Fuel feet of Roo Man in the upper left corner of the shot.
	Fuel lines have been run from the fuel tank. The bung in the fuel tank is large enough to handle the future blown engine. Lines are run this way to allow flexibility in the lines for removal. If there was just a short line between the tank and filter it would have to be “exactly” the correct length and would be difficult to get the fittings started
	Not much changed here, the tops to the bottles are missing. The radiator has been ordered and will sit in back of the fire bottles. Also in this location will be the battery and remote oil filter.
	Yes the engine is between the rails, and if I do say so myself,. looks good. The MSD box does not get mounted on the transmission as picture, but is waiting on a bracket to be installed
	Chute pack body shaping has started along with the body tile that will cover the roll cage. This is very early in the shaping process, and it is hoped that the the body tiles should be completed by the end of next week. Roo Man will be preparing for Kentucky this week.
	Note data Logger mounted on right side of the cockpit.
	Now we will start down the left side and mount some body panels.
	The only reason I have not lost my mind to the time I am with out a car to play with, is, the attention to detail that this build is getting. Take special note of the fitment of the body panels in the next two shots.
	The Body Panel picture here shows that there is a future plan of a blower drive, because of the room left in front of the engine.
