Barn Rebuild in Macedon
I know this is not an exciting video, but want to keep you updated on the progress in the new work shop
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Power to the SHOP!!!!!
In this video, the conduit that was laid in the trench is used to run power from the house to the Shop!
Reassembly of the Old Work Bench or Work Bench Gets New Life!
When I moved into our old house, the previous owners left a large work bench in the basement.
There was no other way to get it out of the basement other than taking it apart (most likely the reason it was left behind). Boy were there a lot of parts, and were they heavy!
The top all by itself (not the concrete board, just the boards that made up the sub top) must have weighed 400 pounds.
In our latest move, pieces got scattered and lost. I had to make new parts. Anyway in this video it goes back together / Gets reassembled / Restored to working condition and ready for use once again.
Installing Folding Shelves, A Find in a Business going out of Business
My son found a listing on CraigsList; a shop going out of business was selling everything.
We took a trip over and bought several things. Four folding shelves, four heavy duty rolling carts, and a really nice welding table.
This video is about the install of the four folding shelves.
Shop Safety Railing Build
In this video we build a railing between the ramp in the garage side of the shop and the storage area.
Did this to keep me from stumbling backwards over the edge.
Let’s build some Storage Shelves.
In this video, my wife and I build shelves for the storage section of the shop. The shelves were built to take advantage of all the clear storage bins we had from the move.
One side of the shelf is supported by the wall (and the 2X4s in the wall). The other is supported by “outrigger” 2 X 4s. 2 X 4s in straight vertical compression can support a tremendous amount of weight.
This method of construction lends itself to uneven floors (this one was not) as each leg can be cut so that all the shelves are flat and level.
Quick fun video on the pour of the new entrance to the shop.
