The next project is to test fit the front clip with the new inner fender wells. I want to paint them the same color as the car / firewall. Therefore I want to test fit them first and do any grinding need to make them fit before paint. I will also smooth them out the same way I did the firewall. I will update with pictures as this project progresses. | |
This has been the front clips resting place for over a |
year. Guess what, not for much longer! |
Well this is a new part, it should just slide right in, |
right? No way, Ken Long suggests hanging the clip to take some fitting. |
Bill, are you hunger, doesn’t your wife feed you. Ever time you get your picture taken you have a piece of pizza in your hand. |
|
We will make it fit! |
|
Enough for one night. Clip is now positioned so that I can gently modify the new inner fender wells to fit. Stay tuned. |
|
Another night, another task, Inner fenders now fit the |
fenders. Now it is time to see if the clip fits the car. |
Let’s not scratch any paint. I think Glenn went a little over board with the tape, what do you think? |
|
Here we go! | |
It FITS! I expected this to takes hours and it went on in | minutes |
Done, well almost. I need to make some patch panels to fill this hole. That is a project for another day. Lets hang it up in the garage so I can make these panels. See the next installment on Inner Fender Wells |
